Windcups with bearing

This replaces a set that has been in my yard for years. The old one just wouldn't turn anymore, but the rest of the windvane is still in great shape. My neighbors have said they like to look out the window and see the windcups turning, so I am not the only one who enjoys it. Got my original windvane at an art show in Fargo years ago, and liked it so much that I got a second one shipped to me. Well-made product.

It's amazing how hard it is to find simple wind cups these days.. I needed something to gauge the wind by our fire pit up on a mountain. Took me almost a month before I came cross these. Received my kit very quickly and was not disappointed. They are well crafted and the material looks first rate. The bearing comes pre-installed which is nice and it spins very easily... However..

With shipping (all in) the kit is around $30 and IMHO.. that's overpriced considering that doesn't include a rod for mounting. I wasn't about to pay another $17 for a simple rod. I ended up making my own support rod and the cups spin very easily as hoped.

I am happy about the purchase, but again... the kit should come with a rod.

I have had the weather vane for years and the old bearing finally gave up. Rather than taking a chance with fit, I ordered the cups with bearing. It is perfect. My only problem is that shipping cost almost as much as the product.

The customer service was excellent. I think that I spoke with Kim. She was so friendly and helpful!
